Registrations
Since going live, numerous financial intermediaries, private individuals, and network partners/brokers have registered. We conducted a brief initial interview with most of these interested parties to better understand their goals and interests, such as client acquisitions, succession solutions, or the acquisition or transfer of a license. This information was stored on our matchmaking platform and compared with existing profiles. If there was a sufficient match, we approached selected individuals in a targeted manner. Where there was mutual interest, we established direct contact with the express consent of both parties, after which negotiations took place between the parties involved.
Market
The Swiss asset management landscape continues to change. Many institutions are under pressure to improve efficiency or reduce costs, while new growth models are emerging at the same time. Issues such as digitalization, increasing compliance requirements, and succession planning are increasingly shaping the market and reinforcing the need for suitable synergies. Against this backdrop, it is not surprising that we continue to receive regular inquiries about our matchmaking solution. Interest remains high and our offering continues to be valued within the network as a valuable and practical support tool.
The market paints a clear picture: Around 80% of those registered are pursuing growth or expansion strategies ("Buy"). Customer acquisitions that can be smoothly integrated into existing business areas without significant additional effort are particularly in demand. Players who want to sell their customers, licenses, or their company, or who are looking for a solution, are less common but do occur occasionally ("Sell"). Trust plays a key role, especially on the sell side. Many providers do not communicate their intentions to sell publicly, but only very selectively. We therefore handle sensitive information with the utmost care and ensure that neither identities nor strategic considerations are disclosed without clear consent. In addition, we remain in active dialogue with registered users and our broad network and continuously monitor market developments.
Conclusion
The feedback and developments to date clearly show that our matchmaking platform addresses a relevant need in the market. Despite the challenging conditions, interest in synergies remains high.
To continue supporting asset managers in the future, we will continue to maintain dialogue with our network, examine potential opportunities, and continuously develop the platform.
