Henning Goeck

Henning Goeck is a Senior Manager in the Audit Financial Services division in Zurich. Alongside this role as Engagement Leader, he manages internal compliance & quality assurance projects.

Professional experience

Henning Goeck has more than 20 years of professional experience in auditing. His mandates in the industrial sector focussed on public and private-sector firms operating in the services and manufacturing sectors, as well as wholesale and retail companies. In July 2022, he made an internal move at Grant Thornton Switzerland/Liechtenstein from the Audit Industries team to the Audit Financial Services division, where he now supports audit engagements, including in the areas of asset management and financial services.

Before joining Grant Thornton Switzerland/Liechtenstein back in 2011, Henning Goeck spent 12 years working in auditing for Grant Thornton Neuhaus and a Big Four firm in Namibia. He gained extensive experience in the performance of statutory and consolidated financial statement audits in accordance with Swiss law, Swiss GAAP FER, IFRS for SMEs and IFRS. He also boasts broad experience in planning and conducting cross-border financial statement audits, as well as in internal auditing and in executing due diligence projects.

Professional qualifications and memberships

Henning Goeck studied at the University of South Africa, is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in South Africa (SAICA), England and Wales (ICAEW) and Namibia (ICAN). He is also a licensed auditor at the Federal Audit Oversight Authority (FAOA).

Languages

In addition to his native language, German, Henning Goeck is fluent in English and has a good knowledge of Afrikaans.
