With its focused range of services, Grant Thornton has been supporting private and public enterprises in Switzerland for more than 50 years.
Grant Thornton AG was founded in Switzerland in 1966.
At the beginning of 2014, Grant Thornton Switzerland joined forces with ReviTrust, the Liechtenstein market leader at the time, which took over representation of the Grant Thornton international audit and advisory network in Liechtenstein. Bankrevisions- und Treuhand AG and Grant Thornton Switzerland/Liechtenstein merged shortly after that. A long-term growth strategy has been pursued since the 2014 merger.
Another acquisition followed in 2019 when Baker Tilly Spiess SA joined Grant Thornton Switzerland/Liechtenstein, significantly expanding the market presence in French-speaking Switzerland.
In 2025, Grant Thornton Switzerland/Liechtenstein joined the multinational platform of Grant Thornton Advisors LLC, thereby strengthening its international presence and capabilities through investments in technology, people and quality. Consequently, the company now provides a comprehensive range of cross-border services in auditing, consulting, tax and accounting.
