Grant Thornton was gold sponsor at the “Swiss Audit Championship 2019”

For the first time Grant Thornton Switzerland/Liechtenstein was a gold partner of the “Swiss Audit Championship 2019”, a serious virtual business game event targeting interested parties with starter know-how in the field of auditing.

The event was held on Wednesday, 23 October 2019 at the Technopark in Zurich and was organised by the Institute of Internal Auditing Switzerland (IIAS). Registered individual players or groups of three competed virtually against each other in a serious business game with the aim of founding a new civilisation on Mars. To build up their own colony, players had to answer questions that demonstrated their competence and had to cleverly apply their own auditing skills.

“With this gold partnership at the Swiss Audit Championship, Grant Thornton is underscoring its commitment to digitising internal audit,” said Thomas Michel, Head of Internal Audit of Grant Thornton Switzerland/Liechtenstein. Before the game, he also gave a fascinating presentation on the topic of “Re-vision - Innovation in the Internal Audit Industry” and illustrated how Grant Thornton's new internal audit software solution is developed from a vision.
